Diagnosis & Restoration
Théo opens every restoration. In the ten to fifteen minutes of diagnosis, he assesses the condition of each shoe, identifies what must be repaired and decides the path the pair will take through the workshop.
It is the stage that determines everything downstream. A misread at the start cascades through the whole repair, so Théo's eye — for wear patterns, construction and hidden damage — sets the standard for the work that follows.

“Before you touch a shoe, you have to read it.”

Interview
In the words of Théo
Attention to detail
Wear leaves a record. Reading it tells you what the shoe has lived through and what it needs.
Material expertise
Recognising every material and construction at a glance is what makes an accurate diagnosis possible.
Repair philosophy
Intervene only where needed. Respect what is still sound.
Sustainability
A precise diagnosis avoids over-repair and keeps original material wherever it can be saved.
“The shoe tells you what it needs. You just have to know how to listen.”
“Experience is mostly knowing what you're looking at.”
The Gesture
Where mastery becomes movement
At the heart of the project lies the gesture itself — captured in motion through dynamic Gaussian Splatting. What looks effortless is the result of years of repetition, judgement and feel.
